Background

OI is a leading center for glaucoma research. The sponsors of this posting have pledged funding for several student interns. There are also pledges of funds for every response. Potential interns will be selected from qualified students responding to this posting.

 

Background to Question

Patients often miss a call from their doctor regarding test results. A voice message is usually left to call the doctors office for the results and to schedule a follow up visit. When the patent calls back they have missed the office staff and must wait until the next day or longer to learn about their test results. Test result are confidential and will not be sent by e-mail or left on voice mail/answering machines.

How can patient test results be delivered, a follow up visit scheduled and anxiety reduced?
